In the Valley of Notes (2016)

Album cover: In the Valley of Notes
Salomon's solo debut: nine of his own compositions for instrumental acoustic guitar — just the fingers, the guitar and himself. The music is often polyphonic, written with care for every note, more interested in painting pictures than in showing off technique. There's room for the country-tinged (Tåglåten) and the impressionistic (Sargasso Swells, where the harp harmonics get to take space) — and in Introspective (Insanity), old video-game music meets metal and a healthy dose of humor.

“What I hear is a synthesis of classical music, popular harmonies and percussive style with a few mad passages in the mix. The tune is played with incredible virtuosity, yet sensitively.” — Novy Popular, no. 3/2016
“There are many young guitarists with dazzling technique, but few who can combine that skill with a deep feeling for the music they're playing. Salomon Jakobsson has an amazing future.” — Tom Ryan, listener review on Bandcamp
“A complete instrumental dramaturgy. Well-arranged cinematic storytelling. An impressive precision and a top notch performance.” — Musik Direkt, national finals

Cloud Atlas Trio

Album cover: Echoes from a Faded Past (Cloud Atlas Trio)
With Danish cellist Veronika Voetmann and Jordanian singer Yahia Alnajem, Salomon explores the meeting of Arabic maqam, Nordic folk music and the baroque, with shades of classical impressionism, colored by effect pedals and loops. The trio's album Echoes from a Faded Past was released in 2023, and the group performs regularly on both sides of the Öresund.

“Mötet mellan genrerna och instrumenten skapar något nytt och tack vare insatsen av musikerna är det ibland till och med så att armhåren reser sig. […] Albumet är ett måste.” — Lira Musikmagasin (Hanna Lenander), 2023. In English: “The meeting of the genres and instruments creates something new, and thanks to the musicians' performances it sometimes even makes the hairs on your arms stand up. […] The album is a must.” (our translation)

Under other names

Single cover: Glimpse (F. Garling)
Single cover: Willow Song (Little Wind)
Salomon also releases calm instrumental music under other artist names — foremost among them F. Garling and Little Wind; the music is distributed by Overtone Studios, part of Epidemic Sound. As F. Garling he makes slow, warm fingerstyle guitar for still moments; the debut single Glimpse has been streamed over five million times and featured on Spotify's Peaceful Guitar playlist. As Little Wind he plays lullabies — old songs that have hushed children to sleep for generations, and new ones written in the same spirit; Willow Song has been streamed nearly ten million times since 2025. Every track is recorded by Salomon himself, then mixed and mastered by Oliver Björkvall.
